    STAR IDENTITICATION

As have others, I blew up, then enhanced the area around the moon from the ISS image. I then opened my star atlas and blew up the appropriate chart to match the scale of the ISS image. I then copied the star chart onto transparancy film and overlaid it on the ISS image. The star chart was shifted down and slightly right to avoid covering the ISS image. The result is attached. The lines are merely my guides to the eye. The open circles with the hand written labels that go up and right are on the ISS image. The slightly darker closed circles with the printed labels that go down and right are from the star chart transparency. Looks like a pretty sure match to me.
