Cape Cod Meridian!! Very cool!??? I’m going to the Cape this weekend. Where exactly is Cape Cod Meridian?  By 1676 Cape was somewhat settled. Plymouth Massachusetts Bay Colony had become to rigid for some.
Was the Meridian in Bourne, MA which was settled in 1640? Aptucet Trading Post in Bourne was established by Pilgrims in 1627. Post located between two small rivers. One river flowed into Cape Cod Bay; other into Buzzards Bay. Cape Cod Canal , more or less aligns with the rivers.  How dare they ignore the Cape Cod Meridian??
    Good day to all.

Why is the Cape Cod meridian so ignored. 'A chart of the West Indies From Cape Cod to the River Oronoque. By J. Seller Hydrograp. to the King. Note that the side of each square contains 80 English Leagues, And the Meridians Commenceth East and West from Cape Cod.' No date, but probably about 1676, and third state chart of this title by Seller.
