I am attaching two articles published in the European Journal Of Navigation by a writer from Holland expressing his theories on how Noonan made navigational errors. Take a look at this guy's stuff, see if it makes any sense to you.

I have communicated with him and attempted to point out the misconceptions that he has about how celestial navigation is done. He is not a navigator but an economist but has studied up on navigation.

Do you remember those old puzzles "what is wrong with this picture?" that had complicated pictures with many errors like a kid wearing one blue and one red sock. You would carefully examine the picture and try to identify as many such errors as possible and then check your answers against the list in the back of the book. His papers remind me of those puzzles. "what is wrong with these articles?" See how many things you can find.

Have any of you heard of this journal before? I am shocked that these papers got published.
