Hi Greg,
I assume those tiny white spots on the bubble chamber' glass are crazing of the lens not remediable. If they are particle spots, Xylene is also solvent and should be able to remove them at least partially. With such a glass deterioration if they are indeed permanent, using Xylene I would check with a 2.0, 2.5 to 3.0 dia. bubble to see how xylene works best albeit it has less surface tension than water. By the way, xylene was originally specified by the manufacturer, just make sure is 100% and not solution.
