My first thought was that you might have been using Ageton's second method which he published in his Manual of Celestial Navigation, 1942. This book includes his original table as published in H.O. 211 plus an additional table of trig functions. So I checked your computations and it is indeed done with H.O. 211 not his newer book. While doing this it reminded my how much I hate Ageton (both sets of tables) which take much more work than Dreisonstok or Weems. See my previous comparisons:

Attached is one of the last sight reductions from my HO 211 era. This, my Hezzanith sextant, and Bowditch-1943 is all that remains from my childhood AstroNav -- in a moment of insanity I threw out both my HO 211 copy and my U.S. issued 2102 star finder. Thought I'd never want them again. See I'm a little confused because my HO 211 workup doesn't look anything like Greg's. Yet Bowditch (1962, p538) says that HO 211 is Ageton's method. What's up? John
