    Re: Age: is it relevant?

    Dan et al.,

I get a strangest look when I mention "sextant" if someone happens to
spot me using it on the beach for practice. How dare a 50ish man
say "sex" in public? But I explain, or I let my kids explain, and
everything is cool again within a couple of minutes.

I'm just proud of the fact that I was still able to learn such a
complicated subject at age 45! These last few months, I forget the
    most amazing things.

BTW, in support of this listserv, I found the recent discussion on
GPS as a pseudo-sight reduction tool fascinating. Keep up the good
work, folks, flames and old farts notwithstanding!
