Byron: Keep it simple, Take the first LOP on board the ship, DR.the ship on the chart, throw the LOP parallel to it's self off the ship at the next sight. DR. will include each change of course and speed between each sight. Did I miss-understance the problem?

    Hello Byron,

In my understanding, your description here-above is equivalent to the "first method" earlier indicated by Greg, i.e. "1. Advance the assumed position along the vessel heading using time, speed and distance tables or a pocket calculator. From the advance A.P. plot the azimuth and intercept. "

    Best Regards

    Kermit
