A person can get these pubs and download them online for free. I gave the link to do that last week. But, of course, the 2 books stated are nice to have. But one doesn't need to spend any $ if all one wants is the tables etc. You can buy the tables separately, but here's a better deal: Go on ebay.com or abebooks.com and buy yourself copies of "Self-Contained Celestial Navigation with H.O. 208" by Letcher (as already discussed) from the 1970s and also Mixter's "Primer of Navigation" from the 1940s. The first includes a complete copy of the "208" tables. The latter includes a complete copy of the "211" tables. So you get the tables, AND you get two truly excellent books on celestial navigation. -FER 42.0N 87.7W, or 41.4N 72.1W. www.HistoricalAtlas.com/lunars
