    Mike, you wrote:

In the index, you may have seen a little notice that said "Corrupt file. Will fix. -FER". And it is now fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience. It was much easier to fix than I anticipated. As it turned out, I had written a little fix-it tool for just this sort of problem two years, and I had completely forgotten about it until I started digging around after reading your question.

The messages, by the way, were present all along and accessible by clicking through them one at a time. Only the index was damaged. You can also get at any of these files just by searching the archive. Try going to the search box right at the top of www.fer3.com/arc and type in "raft book" (with the double quotes). That will find you lots of references. The one you're looking for is right at the top.

    -FER
