I subscribe to NavList via a Yahoo e-mail account, and usually let the
e-mail accumulate in a spam filter (Mailwasher) for a few days before I
download it into a "real" e-mail program (Outlook Express). I don't recall
having any problems clicking on links using any of those methods (including
the Yahoo web interface), so it might be something related to GMail(?).

If I get some time later on this week (and you still haven't found a
solution) maybe I'll try subscribing to the list from a GMail account and
see if I can duplicate what you're seeing - you might check your settings
and see if there's maybe something that disable links from appearing in the
    body of an e-mail (?).
