I had not seen your explanations in this post until now, which would have been better forthcoming before the 'pompous' outburst of yourself and one other person here. I prefer explanation rather than howls of indignation.
I also do not like threats in the direct threat at the end of your message.
If you can have lots of options, as when you say:
".....I have lots of options, Douglas, for dealing with such issues. I can easily set it up so that you and you alone are unable to attach files, for example. Do I need to do that, or did this explanation clarify things for you?...."
Then the obvious comment is if you have all these options, why not make it so that method of attachment you so despise is not available?
.. and go ahead make it so no attachment is possible by myself personally: then the obvious answer is the usefulness of this website is no longer of use to me: and that is that. No big deal!
Can't stand authoritarian pomposity. It's bad enough here in England where it is refined into an art form - without getting it from the States too. I thought you were more relaxed over there.
