Hello All.
Some of you saw a few spam messages on NavList a few hours ago. I think I caught it just after it happened. The messages have been "blanked" in the message boards at fer3.com/arc. Just so you understand, these messages were from an established NavList member. Presumably his email account was hacked and those messages were sent to everyone in his address book (I got identical messages from that address at my main email). There's no way to prevent that sort of spamming in advance except to moderate all posts, which would obviously be counter-productive.
One important note: please do NOT mark those messages as spam at your end. Just delete them. If you mark them as spam, many email systems will then interpret ALL NavList messages as spam, and they may add the servers for all NavList messages to blacklists. I know it's tempting to click the little button and "show those evil spammers a thing or two" but in the case of a hacked account, that will backfire.
