No, Dave, I had never even heard of it, or its author, Per Collinder. But
thanks for bringing it to our attention.

I see it's a translation, from the Swedish , into English. Translations on
such technical matters are often unsuccessful, unless the translator himself
knows the subject well, or has a very close working relationship with the
    author.

Judging only by the title, it's exactly the sort of thing that I go in for,
so I took a look in Abebooks and picked up the cheapest copy, at 10 plus
    postage.
There were several others listed, in the UK and US, at not-much-more.

If Dave Walden can contain his impatience, I'll report back on what I find,
when it comes in a few days.

As a side-issue, I much regret that Abebooks has recently been bought up by
Amazon. I've bought many secondhand books, through both firms, and have
found that both work well, but have a preference for Abe.

Not being a great supporter of the capitalist system, it seems ironic, to
me, that its prime purpose appears to be to eliminate any competition. In
this case, I understood that booksellers paid Abebooks 5% commision for
orders coming through them, whereas with Amazon they had to pay 10%.
Presumably, these commissions will now be aligned, to our disbenefit.

If any Navlist members can recommend other finders for used-books, I would
    be interested to learn.

    George.
