I was embarrassed to see how many messages I had posted, because I know that the bulk of them were off-the-cuff responses, and not the result of considerable scholarship, as are some on the list. I have resolved to tone it down, but in case impulsive behaviour takes over, I invite all who are bothered to filter me out. I think pretty much all mailer software has that capability.
