Two LOPs give a position, but no indication of possible error. Three LOPs
that almost meet (small triangle) give an indication of little error, while
a large triangle indicates one or more of the LOPs may be less than
    accurate.

This is one of the advantages of 'best fitting' a number of sights of the
same body to the slope of the apparent rise/fall - how well the sights fit
the slope gives an indication of the relative accuracy of the resulting LOP.

Can anyone explain, under what circumstances one could
possibly want to determine her position from 3 LOP's?
