    I am not sure about the 1950's, however, my 2015 Celestaire Catalog (inside back cover page) has the star chart and I think if you order the 2102-D that GaryL provided a link to I believe you get the catalog in the shipping box.  The online Celestaire Catalog PDF version appears to omit the star chart:

    In closing, if you are still looking for non-electronic gadget/star charts you may be interested that Dr. Dan Bruton a professor of Physics at SFASU and SFA Observatory has posted some free PDF Star Charts as well as his source files i.e., a "how to" for Star Chart creation, Astro SW pointers, astronomy class stuff, etc.:
