We are having a remarkably warm winter so far here in Connecticut.  Only a couple of days in the 20s (Fahrenheit), most in the 40s.  There were even a few in the 60s.

Way back when I used to go skiing in Canada in December.  We would wake up and call the desk to find out the temperature.  It would be given in Celsius, and we would ask for it in Fahrenheit.  One morning it was reported as -37.  I didn't bother asking.  Skipped skiing that morning, but went out when it warmed up to -17 (I don't remember whether it was F or C) that afternoon.

Interesting, i have not gotten my 2016 yet, will see what it looks like.
Stan, as to cold, not too bad just now, just hovering around 20 degrees C below freezing, last week we approached -40C, -40C is annoying, things become s l o w when working outdoors, upside, not too many mosqito bites to scratch and the Aurora Borealis can be spectacular.
