Byron: I am interested in the position (near within a few degrees) the stars and sun position on the star finder 2102-D or mine finder or NA for the sun, the same.
Can they be used with near accuracy for the Capt Cook's star- sun position in 1769.
I would think not much differece, but want to be sure. Also could he find his position in terms of sextant, LAN or what level was known and used in 1769.
