NavPac The NavPac series is intended to increase the efficiency and accuracy of competent navigators. It is NOT a subsitute for a comprehensive Boating Course. If you have not already done so, PennSoft HIGHLY RECOMMENDS that you atleast take one of the many Boating Courses offered by the United States Power Squadron, The Coast Guard Reserve, and many states. If you have difficulty locating a course in your area, try contacting Boat U.S. They are advertized in most boating magazines and are widely known to the boating fraternity. Call their 800 number. They will direct you to the next available course. They will even pass your name and phone number to the local organization if you wish. Anyone who operates a boat of any size, dingy or yatch, without proper training is a hazard to themselves, their guests, and other boaters. PennSoft assumes NO LIABILITY for the incorrect or improper use of these programs. PennSoft assumes NO LIABILITY for the accuracy of these programs. Every experienced navigator knows that they must be prepared to take over all functions MANUALLY at ALL TIMES. Electronic equipment and water are definitely incompatible. In other words, PennSoft stands by the ancient saying, "When Sailing, Critical Equipment FAILS at the most Critical Time". T.V.M.D.C. The TVMDC program converts courses and bearings from True to Compass and from Compass to True. It use is simplicity itself. Simply enter the numbers you know. The program will calculate unknown values and complete the table. Be sure to enter East or West for Variation and Deviation. If the program is not calculating the variables you want, place a question mark "?" in the field you want calculated. This will force TVMDC to calculate the designated variable.
